If you are considering replacing or retrofitting your old equipment, costs vary according to the different options: type of heating system installed, distribution system used and additional equipment such as counters or regulation systems.
Types of heating systems
A new heating system incurs a small investment, so you should analyse your previous demands and study the existing commercial offer. In general, electrical heating systems with storage tanks require a higher investment than those based on conventional heating systems or instantaneous electrical heaters.
A heat pump is approximately 20% more expensive than an air conditioning system. Nevertheless its energy efficiency is much higher when used for space heating.
Heat distribution systems
Installing radiant floors is costlier than conventional radiators or fan-coils. That is why its installation is only justified in new or restored buildings.
Independent counters for central heating systems
A thermal energy counter should be installed at the input pipe of each user (housing, area, department etc). A thermoregulation system (thermostatic valves) will help users control their energy consumption. The average installation cost of these systems is €300.
