How much does it cost?

If a boiler is not performing correctly, this may be due to maladjustments that are easily solved by correct maintenance. The equipment (flue-gas analyser tester and thermometer) cost around 650-1250 €.

The cost of a 50mm rock wool used to improve the insulation of the boiler ranges is between 80 and 200 €.

Heat recovery systems (see the step by step guide for more information) used to preheat the feed water are certainly expensive equipments. However it has been shown that they obtain significant fuel savings with no more than 2 years of repayment periods.

Installing high efficiency boilers (low temperature or condensation) requires a higher initial investment. A low temperature boiler costs about 25-30% more than a standard one and a condensing boiler can cost twice as much. Nonetheless, the great savings obtained allow you to recover the investment in the medium-long term.
